Default Abdomen Size Loss

I am trying to join the Marines but I have 4" more than I am supposed to in my gut. I have been trying gym and Whey Protein shakes which is 52g of protein.

Any more advice?

Oh believe me I have been on the diet the military suggests. I dont really need to lose weight just a few inches so thats why I am doing weight training.

Maybe a pill like Hydroxycut?

By the way I have enlisted anyway (my recruiter has given me a set time to have it off) so should I focus more on making my gut into muscle with weights?

If you have a big gut, then it's likely going to be fat. So...get rid of the fat. Like Pity said, diet is the most important part. Some cookie cutter diet that the military made up isn't going to work as well as a meal plan tailored to you. You can't spot reduce fat and there is no magic pill that will get rid of it.

Post up your diet.

You need a calorie deficit.

I am reading that actually taking in more calories in combination with burning even more calories is very good at resulting in fat loss. Burning more calories makes sense but why would you want to add any more calories? The thinking is that your body's metabolism is higher after eating and you don't want to overdo the exercising and start losing muscle.

Get your diet in check , do lots of cardio and don't stress about it ! Stress will cause water retention. Get lots of water , you could be holding onto the water. Drink at least a gallon a day if not more ( remember your electrolytes too )

So you say your diet is good , you do enough cardio and weight training.

So tell us what is the issue ? Do you eat to much junk food ? Maybe you don't eat enough . We try to help you then you tell us your doing it all right.

You think you need supplements ? Go ahead and pick some up then.
