sorry, by macros I mean calories from protein, carbs and fat.

BTW that is strange that you must lose 40lbs to get hired. As long as you are healthy and pass the written and physical tests you should be eligible. If thats the case then why are fat personal trainers and fat doctors allowed to make suggestions to healthy choices if some don't follow healthy lifestyles.

LOL I'm trying to become a personal trainer in the future, but not til my fat ass gets back in shape.

Some states have a weight and size chart they go by. if you are alot more then the chart they will have yor bf tested. I think they want you to be 22% and under.

Protein: 1.7g x your weight
Carbs: 0.7g x your weight
Fats: 0.37g x your weight

High Carb Day

Same as above but eat starchy carbs and fibrous veggies with each meal.
Protein: 1g x your weight
Carbs: 2g x your weight
Fats: 0.3g x your weight

Not bad, but why would you lower the protein ?

Plus, I would go longer than 3 days before a carb up. I would go 6-7 days. Unless you want to do low carbs(75-100g)on non training days, med carb (200g)on training days and high carb every 7th day(300-350g).

i'm guessing macros = calories.

Thanks for all the great info fellas.

I am going to cut back cardio to 3-4 times a week rather than 6. I got some green tea extract and fish oils and am also going to replace the shakes with whole meals. I understand this will up my matabalism a bit more.

Shooting for 2000 cal a day. 200g of protein and 200g of carbs.

Just make sure you write everything down so that you know how many calories you are taking in www.fitday.com will help.

200g protein and 200g carbs = 1600 calories. It will be hard to hit 2000 calories when you only have room for 400 more - which will be fat. That's only 44g of fat...Now if your only going to eat chicken, rice and veg....Goodluck.

When trying for fat loss your carbs should be about half of your protein. Like I posted before, its better to overcalculate protein than carbs when cutting and keep your starchy carbs in the earlier part of the day i.e first 3 meals. Stick to veggies with your protein later in the day i.e. last 3 meals.

To be clear, protein should be in every meal.
