Definitely a good point Talo. I do not think that if you are eating a bunch of crap all day and staying at a deficit you will be losing. If you are losing and eating only McDonalds, are you losing what you want to be losing?

Anyways, thats obviously not the point of the thread but still. Keto diets have been the only thing that have ever really worked for me. I have tried adding carbs into my diet but if i go anything over 30g carbs a day i start to maintain/gain even at a deficit (of course this could be added water or other various things). Still its the overall look that counts right? So although i love some carbs here in there, i have to decide if they are worth eating.

Oh, did you read the review, TALO (of good calories bad calories)? I really think that book while having good RAW info is mostly pseudoscience in it's interpretation. There is no reality there.

And one thing I am noticing is people keep talking about whether I do THIS "one" day or that "one" day. It ain't about one day. It is about overall intake OVER TIME.

One thing I think helps is to try to step outside the whole bodybuilding world and look at it from a general fat-loss perspective.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

I did read that second review you posted.

I've been having a hard time with the book itself because the first bit ( of what I've read ) is all about the different cultures and how they eat , trying to nail down where heart disease comes from. Blame Fat ? or Not ? Different ways of life where noticing more than others...etc

May sound interesting , but it's a hard follow for me. I do want to sit down and give it a very good read though . I'm sure there is good info in there.
