What kind of diet are you on? Low Carb? If so, i dont recomend muscle milk due to the high carbs and sugars compared to regular protein. Also, it isnt the best for right after a workout when your body wants protein. Its a combo mix of cassein, egg, and whey. The casein and egg protein are slower digesting, which is not what you want right after a workout. The same maker of muscle milk, Cytosport, makes many versions of protein. I have their Complete Whey right now. Its no muscle milk, but its pretty tasty. I was going to get ON 100% Whey as i regard that as one of the best; quality, taste, and price wise. But i was looking around and this was the same price so i decided to give it a shot. Definately going back to ON next time, or whatever i can score for free ;-)

Oh and lastly, whey doesnt really contribute to weight loss (Although i read an article in a mag saying it helps when taken pre-cardio). Yes, it does boost metabolism, but so does any other food intake.
