Default Tooth Whitening - Who has tried it?

I was just wondering how many of you guys have tried whitening your teeth? If not, then I highly recommend it. I have had it done professionally by my dentist using the chairside methods mentioned from http://www.britesmile.com/ and also used the home bleaching kits as a touchup from https://www.discusdentalstore.com/pr...CatID=1&pgID=3.

The chairside method only takes about an hour and costs can vary over $500+ while the home kits are done for around 3 weeks and can run $30+ a kit, with you needing several kits depending on the level of shade change required. Neither one of them hurt, but is just a matter of convenience, dedication, and of course money.

If you haven't had your teeth whitened before, I recommend you going to a dentist and getting a consult first. They will probably want to do at least a cleaning to get rid of plaque buildup and other work. If you will need any kind of dental work, then they will probably wait until the whitening is finished to then match the color to your newly whitened teeth.

Either way you decide, a great looking smile can work magic for your look in adding to your overall appearance.

I whitened mine years ago with a kit. It only took 2 weeks and they have remained white ever since. In fact my dentist says they are whiter than A1 which is the whitest you can get. I often get complements so if any one hasn't tried it I'm with GD. Do it.

I have a whitening kit that i have yet to use. you must be careful with those things, many whiten by taking layers of enamel(sp?) off your teeth, it can make them sensitive and more prone to cavites(sp?)

and yes, i'm a college graduate and cant spell for shit. sorry, I didnt major in spellology.

I just use the crest whitening strips once or twice a day for a half hour apiece. Doesn't cost that much and it does a good job.

Yeah, but Crest Whitestrips can actually strip down at the enamel and make the teeth a little sensitive.. My gf is a hygenist and used some product called "Zoom" to bleach her teeth.. Worked amazing for her..

Yeah, that Zoom stuff was what they used in that t.v. show Extreme Makeovers. It's $55 and works after 3 nights supposedly.

The only thing I don't like about the porcelains veneers is that they grind a layer of your teeth off to make a better hold. It is great if your teeth are already jacked up, but my dentist wouldn't even think about it. I asked about veneers for the top front teeth because I have one chipped tooth from a gang fight that is slightly off colored from the rest, due to the bonding fix. Most people can't tell, but I can.

Those veneers are only for people that have corn for teeth. I saw a few episodes of the Swan before and I have no idea how those women let their teeth get that bad! I don't know how their husbands even kissed 'em with an open mouth!
