Default First post - Release some balloons or something

First post here, as the title says.

37 yr old from Ohio, the cess pool of America. Used to lift fairly regularly but the last 12 years have been non-active, with only coaching my kid's sports as an activity. Therefore I've gone a bit down hill.

Currently 6'2" and 250lbs. I look exactly like some out of shape ex-football player, to paint a picture. I probably should be 225lbs, for a start.

About 6 weeks ago I started to ease back into the gym and re-introduce my body to exercising. Since then my weight has stayed right at 250lbs but I have dropped some fat and added some lean mass. In time I know my gains will taper off and my weight will drop.

My goals are more weight loss oriented, but I do it with higher tempo workouts, supersets, etc. to keep my heart rate going. I'll do some cardio but it pains me in a boring sort of way. As the weather gets a bit nicer I can get on my bike and ride for some cardio.

Anyway, glad to find this place. I'll cruise through the other forums to see whats what.
