Default Hello to Everyone

I didn't mean to be rude by posting on threads before I introduced myself.
It's hard not to jump right in when you see people talking intelligently about something that interests you.

Plus I have social problems.

I'm 35, married, and have a 3 year old son. I like to think of myself as I writer but it would probably be more accurate to say: "I write".

I used to be heavy into the martial arts and I ran track, but I have never considered myself an 'athlete' as such. I was always more interested in improving myself than working with a team where other people depended on me.

Now, I take a more balanced and mature approach, I hope. I appreciate what I have seen here and it's obvious there is a lot I can gain from this forum. There seems to be an absence of the ego-driven nonsense I have seen elswhere.

Thanks a lot, everyone.
