Default Hi from Mackenzie!

Hi!

I'm 34 years old, 6'3", 210lbs with a body fat percentage of 21.5%.

Married with 2 kids.

I'm trying to stick to the 40-30-30 diet, but I cheat like crazy..

Trying to skim down to 190lbs for quite a while..

Need to get serious, diet-wise! LOL

I go to the gym every 2nd day, where I run for 2-2.5 miles, then lift weights. I do 2 body parts a session (abs, delts, one day, then chest, back, etc.).

I'm looking at taking Creatine to try and add some mass and strength, and Omega 3 supplements for overall health.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd introduce myself..

Didn't look at any other intro threads, yet, so forgive me if I've over-shared..

Are you trying to add mass or lose weight? You'll have to stick to one or the other, unfortunately you can't do both at the same time. Read the stickied threads in the training and nutrition forums and you'll be well on your way to whichever goal you have right now. Also, if you're cutting fat, stay away from the creatine. Good luck, post up any questions you have.

By the way, I have to ask.... is your name really Doug Mackenzie? You're from Canada, you should know what I'm talking about

Is that right? You can't add lean muscle while losing fat?

My name is Doug, but no relation to Rick Moranis, or Dave Thomas..

PS

I put 2-3 years as experience, as that's how long I've been dedicated to a better diet and working out..

But the more I read here, the less I know.. LOL

I realize that's not what you're saying..

I phrased it badly..

"add lean muscle while losing fat" is what I meant..
