Default Howdy

Stumbled across this forum doing a google search. Looks great!!! I belong to several online forums.
I'm 34 soon to be 35. I live in Arkansas. I'm an Arkansas State Trooper. Have been for 10 years. I've been lifting weights since 1993. When I graduated High School. I was 6' 4", and weighed 160 lbs. I served four years in the Army, and got into physical fitness. Primarily running. Currently, I'm still 6' 4" , but I weigh 300 lbs. I've put on 100 lbs since I started lifting weights.
Not only does lifting weights help me with my job, it helps me mentally, and gives me self confidence in myself. When I was in high school, I looked at "jocks" that lifted weights, as people with no brains. After I started lifting weighs, boy did I get a wake up call. Lifting weights is a science. It requires research, and a lot of mental attitude.
Anywho, I'm Smokey Bear 393. Have a nice day.

Welcome aboard Smokey!

Damn 100 lbs over the years huh? I could crack a donut joke but then I'd have to stay clear of the Arkansas highways You definately got the part of about lifting being a science right, takes alot of dedication and study.

Negative. The only thing I use is creatine, and whey protein. I've used andro in the past, but not any longer. I assume you refering to juice when you say gear. I'm not here to judge anyone. I have my personal feelings about it. But, again I'm not here to judge, or badger anyone. Lifting weights has become a part of my life. It's my only real hobby that I have. It's the only thing that I know that you can see the results of your hard work everyday when you look in the mirror. Like I said, I stumbled across this forum. I hope to continue to learn. This site can be a tool for me, as it is with others.

Yep, 100 lbs. Of course, it took about ten years. That breaks down to a gain of 10 lbs a year. Bring the donut jokes on. I'm sure it won't be one I haven't heard already. I do eat the occasional donut from time to time.
Thanks for the hospitality!
