Talking Just a newbie

Hey people, my name is Dustin and I am 24 (aug will be 25). A few days ago my wifes great grandmother told me "you sure are getting fat!". (Don't you just love old people so honest) So, I decided to change all that! I am 5'7 220 and don't know about my body fat. I don't really think I want to know.

I used to be in pretty good shape in High School but I blew out my knee my senior year and never really went back to the gym. I got a trainer and will be starting tuesday. I wanted to jump right in and get after it but he said we should start at lifting three times a week and cardio everyday for about 30mins. I think I will stick to the elipical (know clue how to spell that) for now I still have a few knee problems. I will talk to the trainer about supplments and listen to anyones suggestions. I will try hydroxycut hardcore and Liquid Whey Protein, right know that is all I am set on. I will get back in a journal if anyone is interested with the work out plan and weights.

Wish me luck I have a little baby boy on the way and I don't want people to ever say his dad is fat!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I have posted pics and started a journal in the hopes of getting lots of advice.
