Talking Hey people....

Hey people I am obviously new here so I will tell you a little bit about myself. I am 17 years old and I'm a Junior in high school. I started lifting about a year ago and I really enjoy it. I was eating real good and exercising for a good little while and then I moved and I haven't been eating as well. I just recently got a job so I'm thinking that I will be able to buy some more healthy food for myself. So I want to really start lifting seriously and eat the right things. I am not really too big muscle wise, but I would like to bulk up while also loseing body fat. I lift weights at school on Mon, Wed, and Frid. And on tues and thurs I jog around the track. I have a good group of lifting buddies who are motivated and I would just like to get stronger and bigger. The feeling I get from lifting and I love seeing the bar bend when doing squats with 350+ lbs. School is getting out here in a few weeks so I am going to sign up for a gym to lift over the summer until school starts again. My weight lifting instructor is going to give me a lifting routine for the summer but I don't know if I am going to use it or not. I'll take a look at it and maybe post it for some feedback and suggestions. Oh yeah my name is kurt and I weight around 165-170 lbs. and my bench is 190x1, squats 365+, deadlift 315. I took some pics the other day but I don't know how to put them on here yet, so when I find out I will put them on.

So after a year of lifting you nailed 350+ lbs doing squats at 17!? You are my hero!

EDIT: Thanks for showing me those movies from your camera phone. Definately quarter squats! Don't worry, we'll work on bringing your ass down to your calves..

Default Hello Kurt

Welcome Kurt,
I new on this forum to. Its great to see a youngster hitting the weights.
Everyone had to start somewhere Kurt. Even huge guys like Jay Cutler, all started sometime. I would recommend that you train with no more than two other guys. I find more than two and the attention to training starts to wain. I would also recommend hanging with a guy that has been hitting the iron for a few years. That is what I did, and I learned allot from him.
Good Luck

That's kinda like winning the lotto. All the guys at my gym still think a six day split is the best way to gain mass.. LOL, I asked one guy I know whose legs look like your avatar how he got so cut up..I fell for the bait, cause he laughs and says he pins himself aod and eats only lean meat and veggies!
