Ninety-eight pound weaklings need not reply
Hello all.
This is a quick post. I'm 37, still lifting after a serious injury 15 years ago. I'm more into maintenance than power (I must avoid compressing the spine.)
Maybe a good theme would be, "How buff can you get with 5 kilo dumbbells?"

Try to do the movements so slowly as possible, and you will see how 5 kilo weigh.
If you do it well, you can get very nice muscular congestion*, and that's the best thing you can get in a gym.
*i'm sorry, but i don't know the correct words in english. Baybe it is right writen... I don't know...

You're not going to get many good/serious responses until you drop the attitude. I know many "Ninety-eight pound weaklings" that know enough to realize that you asked a stupid question that's too general to receive a realistic response.
That question was vague and relative to perception, & the attitude is old. We've all seen it before & it's not impressive.

98lbs weaklings need to reply, but you say the theme is "How buff can you get with 5 kilo dumbbells?"

You wanting to get buff using just 5 kilo dumbbells is about the same as me wanting to become the smartest financial consultant in the world by reading just ONE book.
Good luck to you because unlike in the business world where I may just have a chance to hit a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you got NO chance to get buff using just 5 kilo dumbbells.

Dice en español, por favor.
This is the 'Introduce Yourself' thread, if I understand correctly. I'm not asking for advice, merely asking a rhetorical question to which I expected no serious responses.
The title was intended to be humorous. There is a subtle distinction between "98 lb weaklings" and "98 lb athletes in training." I can only know my character authoritatively; you are the best expert on yours.
One becomes a little warped after multiple unsuccessful attempts at such training targets as "Standing from the toilet without assistance AND without falling onto the floor." It has been a long road to walk. I have to laugh at myself. Maybe someday you will see the humor.
I'm happy that I'm allowed the 5 kilo dumbbells at this point. This month, I'm allowed to start 'jogging', but only for 5 minutes a day. The target is (eventually) 8km/day.
It's nice to see an active forum.

That would've probably been a better intro post, plus you're in the training forum.
Especially since people have come on here asking for advice from people who are not 98lb weaklings
