If you want your abs to show better try blowing out all your air while you flex 'em....

Now you just need to eat bro....good job

Ash, you have a good base to start from so keep training hard and eat as much as you can to add some more muscle to your frame. Keep up the good work.

Your abs didn't show because you basically don't have any. However you should not even worry about abs and spend the next few years bulking up. After that you will have abs and you will be 25lbs bigger at least.

First off, Protein is not bad for your kidneys. What research have you done to come to this conclusion?

By not taking protein do you mean your a vegen or you don't drink protein shakes?

LMAO ofcourse i eat meat man. no way im a vegan....i meant that EXCESS protein and protein shakes too much can damage the kidneys. and yes its true, ask ur doctor if u dont believe me. The kidney forms the urine and the kidney works with the urea that the excess aminoacids make....

Well define excess.

The only info on the subject that I have come across is excessive protein can cause problems with people of have existing kidney problems.

btw take things Doc's say with a grain of salt, especially if they are not sports med docs.

Mine told me creatine is bad for you.

And I'm sure you can find one that will tell you how bad dead lifting and squatting are for you to

^^ Agreed. If you're going to take the advice of a doctor, make sure the doctor is an expert in THAT field. A general family doctor will not be well versed in the field of bodybuilding (usually). If you want advice on protein intake and its effects or something to do with a sport, you need to talk to someone in sports medicine or some field where they deal with that on a regular basis.

I've had doctors tell me that deadlifting is the worse thing for your back (as well as trainers and physiotherapists believe it or not), but what they mostly see are the people blowing discs in their back because of improper form and basically stupidity.

BTW, stating the function of the kidneys does not speak towards the claim of kidney damage. You would have to provide a study stating the cause of kidney damage due to excess protein intake among weightlifters and athletes.
