Default UFC 74 Respect Predictions

http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=even...htCard&eid=760

I know this payperview isnt untill late next month, but I want to get a feel for how you guys think these match ups will play out.

Randy Couture Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

This one is so hard for me to call cause I really don't want to doubt Randy Couture. He has proven his worth over and over again and everytime I think he is going to lose he pulls through. Plus he is one of my alltime favorite fighters. He has a great attitude and love for the sport I really want him to win this...but Gonzaga is a freakin beast. He seems like such a well rounded fighter and the devistating fashion in which he took out Cro Cop really made a statement. This guy is no joke! I think Couture is in trouble, but I am going to say he wins this fight via ground and pound. *fingers crossed

Josh Koscheck Vs. Georges St-Pierre

This one is easy for me. I can't stand Koscheck. I don't like his fighting style or his personality and I hope he loses all his fights...ok that was a little harsh, I mean I respect his wrestling which is top notch and his striking his getting good, but I like GSP better. What can I say I am biased...GSP is an amazing martial artist and seems like a really good person. He is exciting to watch fight and I hope he knocks Koscheck out!

Kurt Pellegrino Vs. Joe Stevenson

Going with Stevenson on this one. His fight against Marvin Guillard, although short, was impressive. Hope he remains on the winning streak.

Patrick Cote Vs. Kendall Grove

Cote seems to have problems with getting submitted in the past and Kendall is pretty good at those. I am going to go with Kendall on this one as long as he can avoid getting knocked out by Cote's heavy hands.

That is pretty much how I think everything is going to go down.

That's how I see it going down too.

The only one I'm not sure of is the Couture fight. Randy is a great fighter! The only way I see him losing is if Gonzaga can land a lucky shot, and after the Cro Cop fight it might be possible. I say Randy takes it in the second round

I have to agree. the only thing that kept pissing me off was Randy wasn't keeping his hands up and protecting the kick as much. he got hit a couple of times that look like it could have been the fight stopper.

I can't wait to see Randy's next fight. I think he has 2 more fights on his contract.

Yeah I was scared for Randy everytime he was in Gonzaga's range! Hey Dave, what do you think about a Fedor vs Couture matchup?

it would be the biggest test for Randy to date. Fedor hasn't impressed me that much lately. The fight he had with Matt Lindland was less than impressive considering that Lindland is normally a middleweight and came out swinging and caught Fedor and almost slammed Fedor if not for Fedor grabbing the ropes. I heard that if Fedor or Josh Barnett signed a contract now, it could be an immediate title shot, but that is just a rumor.
