Question 1 Week Experience, Please Help !?

Apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge and thankyou in advance for the knowledge you all will give me it's extremely appreciated..

The name says it all, all.. Basically I started working out a week ago and I’m wanting to get into good habits early – I’m getting too much info from everyone so I thought I would ask the experts..

I have EXTREME desire to change as you all do or you wouldn’t have ever visited this site and i understand it's not a thing that will happen overnight..

I've got a program at the gym and I know what to work out etc
My problem lies with my diet, how much I should be eating, what amount & when etc to bulk up because I want to get it right from the start..

I've read of a few threads and they are a great help but I could always use more help - knowledge is power..

I'm a 22 year old male, 175cms, 80kg
(5ft, 7 & 176 pounds right? Sorry I live in Australia and we use different measuring systems)

Currently my program demands I work out 3 times a week (weights + cardio (roughly 2 hours total) & 1 time a week just cardio (one hour total))

I'm also in the process of looking for a treadmill for my days off so I can run for an hour or so outside of my gym program, is this a good idea or is it overworking my body?

I’ve been to GNC and current supplements will be from now on –
2 multi vitamins a day – MEGA MEN
2 fish oil tablets a day
2 intra-x-cell (beta-alanine) tablets a day on non workout days and 4 on workout days
Steel edge pre-workout formula - before workout
Lean gain protein powder every day and twice on workout days (one scoop each time)

Any good or bad feedback on the supplements ?

I've started with the lean meats, low fat products (dairy etc), whole grain breads, no processed meats and all the other fine stuff I should be eating..

My main problem is how much should I be eating each time to bulk up and lose body fat & ANY OTHER TIPS you all might think would be helpful for a brand new bodybuilder with limited experience.
ANYTHING WILL HELP ME!!

for bulking up you're probably looking around 3500-4000 calories with your activity level...if it were me, i would leave your cardio for off days...and/or weekends...that's alot to do in one day.

other than that...lean meats....quality carbs...veggies...and make sure you're getting enough essential fats in...peanuts/almonds/olive oil/fish oil/flax oil...depending who you talk to...usually 20-30% of your calories should come from those...

good calculator in this thread to determine your daily caloric intake...

read the HIIT sticky in the fatloss forum...if you're trying to bulk up...may want to try that...instead of an hour of straight cardio it's supposed to burn fat...but leave muscle on...i do it around 3 times a week...20 minutes a piece...

jump rope for a minute...rest a minute...jump...rest...jump

or go balls out on the elliptical for a minute rest for a minute...go....rest...go...rest.

heart keeps going for that minute of rest...but you're not taxing your muscles...
