I've always set my schedule up with a cheat day. But, even on that day I think it's important to keep things under control.

OK, here is how yesterdays cheat went down. Did I do bad!?

So almost 40 days and no cheating while being on a 1900-2100 calories diet and not to mention carbs ONLY in pwo meals.

Yesterday I did my cardio, had a whey and flax oil shake at 9AM, had chicken with oil at about 12 noon. I did not eat until 6 PM and that is when I let loose.

I have found that 4-5 hours of binging can be done if it is low fat.

I spent the entire eavening eating whatever and whenever as long as it was very low fat. Here is the list of what I ate.

1 box of Granola cereal
1/2 box of corn pops
1 gallon of fat free ice cream
8 slices of bread
8 slices of fat free cheese with low fat ham
1 box mac and cheese
5 cups of skim milk
1 box of low fat chocolate chip granola bars
1 can low fat mushroom soup
2 healthy choice pizza breads
2 low fat lean pockets

before bed...my favorite 2 cups of plain non fat yogurt with 2 cups of oatmeal with sweet and low and a scoop of whey

Alot of food but should be ok once every 7 days, as long as it stays low fat.

thoughts?

Damn........

On my cheat day I just go out and have a couple meals of whatever I want. Maybe 3-4 slices of pizza and a coke for one meal and maybe a burger, some fries and a root beer for the next meal. Or a burger with the aforementioned goodies and then Thai food for dinner. But I don't really binge so to speak. I don't even know if I could have eaten half of that in a day... At least not without squeezin a couple biscuits the size of a grapefruit.

If you are depelted, you might squeeze a big hard one the next day and that is it. When depleted your liver is empty and it seems my body sucked all this up, I feel twice as lean this morning from eating this crap.

Anyone think I should change to a cheat meal of say 1500 calories or so instead of the binge or if I do binge, make it yams, oats, stuff like that.

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days. High GI is the way to go unless you're doing a 24 hr thing, I think. The leaner you get, the more frequently you'll need to carb up. A lot of people do about a 6 hour thing while other people do it all in one meal. I don't like the 24 hour carb up personally...just on principle. The shorter your carb up, the more frequently you'll most likely need to carb up. Remember, try to carb up with as much glucose as you can. Glucose replenishes primarily muscle glycogen. Fructose replenishes primarily liver glycogen. Sucrose is a disaccharide comprised of glucose AND fructose, so it's not as good as plain old glucose during your refeed. I'm looking for an actual list of foods that are high in glucose and/or break down to glucose very quickly. While you can eat whatever you want, you might as well be more efficient with the carb up. Especially if it's a shorter one. If you just ate a shit ton of fructose & nothing else during a carb up, you'd likely be pissing into the wind. Starch is broken down directly to glucose, I believe. So starchy foods will be a good choice.

SO boxed cereal, fat free ice cream and all that stuff is bad becasue of the HF Corn Syrup?

I am not sure I can sit around eating only starches. What are some good Starch or glucose based carbs I can have while still enjoying my 6 hour eatathon?

A gallon of ice cream seems good to me.

If you felt good doing it and you felt good the next day then I think you did a good one. You alone know how and what your body reacts to , so play around with a few things and eat what you want.

It's not bad...it's just not as good. Like Talo said, if you felt right after doing it, then it was most likely a success.

I think that stuff like white rice, pasta, baked potatoes, etc are all good. I'm going to look into it right now.

EDIT: Shit, I can't find much about what foods to eat. I know I read about it a while back. It might just be nitpicking though. What's your BF% by the way?

Not sure, I am guessing around 15 or so. I am a serious endo who used to weigh 298 pounds just 6 years ago so I do have some loose skin.

Judging by others, I would say I am about 14-15%

Problem is that I have always had a cheat day in my diet and I was thinking, hell, maybe that is why I have never got as lean as I wanted. I mean what could I look like if I went 3 months eating perfectly.

I think you're confusing a cheat day & a carb up (or refeed). They're two different animals. I think you were doing a refeed; not a cheat day. Correct me if I'm wrong. The refeed is a necessary part of the CKD though.
