I think protein should be the same everyday. I personally use more powdered protein on training days and whole foods on non.. However, carbs are the only things that differ between training and nontraining days. High carbs on days I lift, low carbs on days I have off.

Ditto to everything 0311 said. I try to remain constant whether or not I am training on a specific day, it just happens that with a Pre Workout Shake and Post Workout shake that a good percentage of my intake comes from powder instead of whole foods.

Either way just make sure you are getting enough, I think the general rule of around 1.5g per LBM is pretty good for most people.
