Default Amount of Protein to eat a day!

Hey you all here, been a while since I've been here to post any thing. Been busy lifting, and other things. I've been doing about near 50 grams of protein a day with my diet, I was wondering about this. How many grams of protein should I be eating a day, along with fat? Been doing under 30 grams of fat, but I find that I might need to eat more? Well, can I get some help on this please, for my diet. Thanks.

Well, that 50 gram of protein wont do anything for u unless u only weigh 50 pounds. U need at least 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. Higher the better, but 1 gram will do if u arent hardcore. As for the fat it depends on whether or not u are doing a low fat, or low carb diet.

Ok I need help with this formula but from what I remember its your lean muscle weight times 1.5-2 grams of protien? so easier said 1.5-2 grams per pound of lean muscle.

Just keep it at 30, if u are trying to loose weight and on a low fat diet. If u are on a low carb diet, u need to be eating hell of a lot more fat. Make sure they are good fats, nothing saturated.

First of all, what are your stats? Goals? We'll go from there...

(in the meantime, if you are trying to gain muscle, try to eat at least 1-1.5g of protein per # of body weight. If you weigh 135, try to eat 135-200g of protein a day.

Posted my stats along time ago, will post them again.....but I have lost some weight....

I am about 220, near 30% BF, 5'9.

Goels are to get more muscle, lose the % of bf to near 15, or lower, I would like to break down under 200 pounds, but I am fine if I say over 200 a little. I just want to break down the % of bf.

My diet includes this, I eat 20 carbs a day, lower then 30 grams of fat, 220 grams of protein.

Exercise Routine:

I lift upper body on Monday, Wendsday, Friday.
Lower body is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

I run 2-4 times the week. When I run, I do this, wak a min, jog a min, dash fast as hell for a min, I repeat this at high intensity for about 4 repetive times....and usally get a mile to 2 miles out of running it.

I have been following this plan the last few weeks....4 weeks or so.
