I was speaking to a personal trainer at my gym together, an older gentleman whose been in the business for over 35 years, he's quite big and in shape if i might add aswell considering his age.
Anyhow, he spoke to me about creating a state of inbalance in you're body nutrition wise. He told me that since protein and carbs are a major part of my diet, that every 7-8 months i should force myself into eating very little protein and carbs for about 2 weeks (hard i know). He was very persuading, telling me that by doing this the body will automatically go into an anabolic state once you start eating properly again, thus exploding muscle gains/fat gains.
He preached to me that he got people gaining as much as 45 pounds in 6 months, i saw some photos and i was highly impressed.
The caloric deficiet achieved by the lack of protein and carbs could consquently make you lose weight unless you manage to find a way to remain at a stable weight, but has anyone attempted this type of nutritional endevour in any way?
