Default Cooking meals ahead of time, then reheating

how many of you guys cook your meals ahead of time
so that you can just microwave it later?

i''m sure alot do.
i cook up like like 6 or so chicken breasts at a time and throw em i na container in the fridge, my question is , althoguh this is quicker, does it affect the taste at all? like, obviously food is going to taste better right when you cook it.. right?

what else do oyu guys cook and store/what else would be good to cook and store?

ive got a bunch of steaks but i dont want to cook those up ahead of time in fear of losing all that juicy flavor.

I hate re heated chicken. it tastes like ass to me. If I make chicken its at night and i cook it fresh. lean ground beef makes no diff. to me at all though, so that i prep before hand. most of my other protien is tuna, and cheeses so there is no need.

I would put the steak with the chicken, cook it, eat it and be done with it. no storing it unless its marinated and shit, that way there is still flavor when you re-heat it.

I'm a bodyguard, so most of the time I sit at a rich person's house for 12 hours, which explains why I have so many posts. My wife will cook 5-6 chicken breasts with a ton of rice and veggies. It's the best for reheating. As for steak, the longer and hotter I reheat it in the microwave, the better it is. The best thing you can do for it is to dip it in italian dressing. God that good. I also bring a huge container of cottage cheese and that counts as one meal.

This is what's great about having a wife. Also I convinced her to do the CKD with me so she cooks up some great stuff I would never even think of and I will get to bring it to work with me. Many times I will also whip up my breakfast and then eat it when I get in the office.

Being a bodyguard is the reason I have all extra large shirts. I sit all day doing nothing but research on the net and eating 12 hours a day. Of course that's just one aspect of my job. There is a ton of other jobs I could do in the company if I chose to. I can't go into anything else because of our confidentiality clause. Anyways, it takes alot of dedication on my part because after 12 hours of work then sitting in an hour and a half of traffic coming home to head for the gym. I basically come home from work, wave to my wife and kids, change clothes, drink my preworkout shake, then I'm out the door. A neverending circle. The cool part about my job is all the training we receive. They only hire ex-military so the training is sweet. My weapons instructor is an ex-Special Forces so we do alot of cool shit. Another guy is ex-Delta Force.

yeah i hear ya about the family time. I'm still a little young for a family, but i just moved about 1000 miles from my brothers and parents, its tough not having them around ... to feed me for free and stuff

back on topic, I find that hittin up some beef jerkey in a pinch is good for protien and getting in some solid meat that you dont have to prepare. you just gotta watch some of the flavord ones have a lot of sugars.

I don't usually precook meals these days, but I don't have a job right now so pretty much have all the time in the world to cook and eat. Certain things I definately find taste better reheated than others. I find rice, chicken, veggies usually reheat to taste ok in microve as long as I don't heat the chicken for too long, find it better when it's still slightly cool, sometimes I'll just eat it cold. Reheated steak is the worst imo, so usually will only cook enough for a meal. Ground beef tastes the same reheated to me so whenever I cook that I'll cook enough for a few meals, besides, I usually buy it in 2 lb packages anyways so just cook it all at once.

I don't eat for the flavor anymore. I eat for fuel.

I usually boil up a bunch of chicken breasts for the week and refrig them. Then for my meal, I eat em cold. I have always been like that, able to eat almost anything cold. Sometime I mix the boiled chicken in with some cooked brown rice and eat it cold also. I even eat my cooked broccolli cold as well. Tastes like ass but I don't always have access to a microwave as I spend a lot of time on the road.
