Default Protein bloating?

Hey, all. I was at a Paul Van Dyke performance last night-pictures on my ms- myspace.com/john_917

I knew I was going to be there for a while, so I took some PP with me. I went out to the car to eat some, and a little while later, I felt bloated-but a deep kind of bloat. BTW, I didn't drink anything other than water-I don't drink alcohol, and it was the same type of PP I always use-EAS chocolate. This isn't a huge concern, but I am curious if this happens to other people, or why.

Is it the EAS 100% Whey? They make a few different formulas.

Lactose will. Whey concentrates have more milk sugars than isolates. Casein causes bloating for a lot of people. I assume it's because of the reaction that takes place when it reaches the acidic environment in the stomach and sits there. It might also be high in lactose. I bet it is since casein constitutes about 80% of 'milk protein'. I'll have to look that up.

^^ I agree, but its odd that it would start suddenly, I believe john was saying that this is the same stuff he always uses, but for some reason this perticular time it bloated him badly.

could be a reaction with something you had eaten earlier? What did your diet look like that day?

It's the 100% 5-lb bag from Sam's. That's the only type that I take. And, I ate normally that day, nothing different, and my usual 6 meals. To be more precise, it was almost as though my diaphragm was sore/tender. It was a non-workout day, and I hadn't been working abs since the Monday before last.
