Default Gallon of Milk?

I recently have been trying to drink a gallon of milk a day. 2 % Milk that is, but I am just wondering if i will receive good benefits out of it or if i will recieve more negative than good because of it being high in calories and the fat. A gallon has:

128 g = protein
80 g = fat
2080 calories

Thanks

you will put on size forsure!! I think if you take it closer to the begining of the day (before 6pm) and do enough you shouldn't have to worry about the fat...but do cardio.

i was told milk illicits the highest insulin response of any food you can put in your body. Worse than sugar.

Be careful with trying to do it too quickly...I "bulked" WAY too fast and it didn't really benefit me...More detrimental than good...And with the gallon of milk a day you definitely need to be doing some kind of cardio...I was drinking a gallon+ for a few months and I put on weight very quickly...Oh but what do I know...I haven't lifted for like a month..LOL..Pray for me!

thats not true bro, while milk does illicit an insulin response, eric posted a study that showed that it is mostly from the protien content, and obviously some from the sugar content as well. I dont think you can even compare it to high GI sources like sugar in terms of insulin spikes, but it is something to be aware of none the less.

a gallon of milk a day?! that's so expensive lol. uh milk makes me feel bloated. i'd recommend skim milk with protein shake before you go to bed but if you're trying to bulk milk is good versus anything else.

Basically, I think he meant he gained a lot of fat, not muscle.

Your body is only capable of using so many calories a day. Force feeding yourself above whay your body can use to build muscle will result in this:

Not this:

Just adding weight to your frame is not what your after, unless you need it for sports, i.e. football.
