Unhappy girlfriend likes to eat..what to do?!

So my girlfriend is very lean and is on her college dance pom team. I commute to college while she dorms about 40 minutes away from me. I work out M-Thursday and eat very clean. Friday hits and right after class I go visit my girlfriend and I feel like I forgot what I workout and eat right for. We go out to eat and I don't workout on weekends because I'm always with her..I love her but she doesn't understand why I want to get lean..because she loves me for who I am..I want to be a "stud" you could say like running with my shirt off etc..but she doesn't understand how important nutrition really is. Anyone have any tips?! I hate putting so much work into everything I do and mess up and get super angry and upset all because I was with my girlfriend for the weekend. help me!!

Well when you go out to eat, eat salads or look at healthy alternatives. It's good that she loves you for who you are, and if she truly does then she will love your healthy life style. Just don't get preachy, that will turn her away.

Save your cheat meal/s for the week until your around her. And just because you go out to eat, doesnt mean you cant eat healthy. Everything in moderation, she orders desert, have one bite, ect.

I had the same problem with my ex, although she would constantly ask for nutrition advice, and then ignore it.

I have that same problem now with my gf. She seems to go though waves. Healthy kick for 2 weeks, crap for 3, then repeat.

Ditto, remember if your eating clean throughout the week and only cheating a few times on the weekend its not going to kill you. For example, figure you eat six small meals a day and you only have two real cheat meals on the weekend. Do you really think 2/42 meals for that week is going to kill your goals? Unless your preparing for a competition or go way overboard on your cheat meals it shouldn't be an issue.

I eat as clean as possible during the week and ignore my nutrition plan when I go out socially on the weekend, mainly because I don't want to be a hermit and it keeps me sane. If your really worried about it just throw in an extra cardio session.

^^ One last suggestion Tuna, if it does happen, and you go overboard, dont beat yourself up about it. It happens, let it go, reframe, and start back fresh the next meal/day. That is always my downfall, I'll end up eating natchos or something on saterday, and I'll say to myself, f it, I'll get back at it monday, and I eat like shit for two days straight.

Do you have to go out and eat? You can prepare a meal at home and you have full control of what you eat.

Or you can just out out to the local coffee house instead.

Some of the posters have the right idea, if you want to maintain your relationship... don't get preachy or spout health stuff because like it or not... most people don't want to hear about it.

Oh yeah... congrats having an obviously hot gf...
