Unhappy Breakfast Sickness

Hey guys, I have never been a big breakfast eater because it sometimes made me sick. I have found that if I generally wait later to eat after I have been awake for about 2 hours I do not get sick. Lately I have been trying to be better about eating breakfast fairly early in the morning to get my metabolism going but most of the time it makes me nauseas for about 2-3 hours afterwards.

I usually swap between having toast, oatmeal, or bran cereal for breakfast with almonds and a protien shake.

Any ideas on what causes the sickness or how to quickly recover from it?

I used to be like that too, not a clue what causes it though, but what I did was eat something tiny, like maybe 1 egg or 1 piece of toast...maybe even less than that and work your way up to a decent breakfast. Also, I noticed that if I have something to eat immediately before going to bed, ie, a protein shake, when I wake up I was significantly more hungry.

Do you absolutely need to eat right away in the morning? If not, wait those few hours after you get going through out the morning. If you're not hungry, don't force yourself to eat - it will not have any relations to "kick starting" your metabolism. Chances are, the more time you fast in the morning and don't consume carbs, the better. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. Don't believe that hype bs that's been drilled into our heads since we were all little.
eat when you want.

Maybe take a whey and oatmeal?? Something light and quick so you can kick start your metabolism... Then have a nice lunch a few hours later? Are you eating till you're stuffed? If that's the case just take it light. Maybe fruits and a cottage cheese. Good luck
