Morning Workout empty stomach?

Default Morning Workout empty stomach?

So Im trying to lift in the mornings, thats the only time I can fit it into my schedule, so is it okay to lift on an empty stomach and have a pwo shake afterwards? please advise

I'd say that's not such a good idea. If time is an issue, I'd make a breakfast meal the night before, and eat first thing in the morning.

I work out in the mornings sometimes, and I hit a pre workout shake as soon as I wake up, lift, then post workout shake, then breakfast about 40 minutes afterward. Its not optimal IMO, but you can get by like that.

If I'm going to do one of my early morning workouts then I eat a banana and take 20g of whey isolate prwo.

I do not like to work out in the mornings, but if I absolutely cannot get away from it I pretty much do what Hrdgain mentioned earlier. Preworkout shake, lift, postworkout shake, 30-45 minutes then breakfast. Not ideal but will do in a pinch.

thanks guys, I appreciate the advise, I geuss Ill have me a quick preworkout shake, then lift, then pwo shake, then have something to eat when I get to work
