I could turn around and say Dante, the DC inventor, recommends 400+ grams of protein and he's over 300 lbs! I think the biggest reason as to why he only used a small amount of protein is due to the fact that his training is only once every 6 days. Therefore, he wouldn't need so much protein compared to a 4 day per week trainee. If I lifted once a week, my diet would also be drastically reduced so I wouldn't put on fat.

As for the lab coats, I agree that they don't have juristiction when it comes to how much protein we need in a day. However, the topic was about how much protein can the human body process at one time. In that case, the "lab coats" have the final say IMO. ;)
