Default Sodium and Potassium for cutting water weight

Does anybody have any references to sites about this topic. I've done some research and found some ok references about ramping up sodium and drinking 2-3 gallons of water and then cutting sodium a couple of days before a bodybuilding competition to trick the body into flushing out more sodium than what is being taken in but nothing about both Sodium and Potassium with the amount to take.

I'm helping a guy that is competing in kickboxing soon and my coach wants him to go from 155 to 145. His diet is pretty sound and he is already 6% bf.
