Default Tired of several meals, try this!

Heres the deal. I have been living of 6-7 meals a day for a while and since I started school, I have found it to be a pain to prepare and have meals ready.

My goal now if to lose some fat while gaining/preserving mass.

I walk every morning for 40 minutes and have breakfast. 10 whole eggs, yes, 10 whole eggs. 700 calories.

I then go all day long without eating. I workout at about 7 PM and when I am done I eat 1 meal consiting of 1400 calories. Rice, oats, yogurt, chicken, whatever, as long as I get 70 protein and 150 carbs with minimal fat.

I have taken my knowledge about insulin levels, pwo carbs, warrior diets, swolecat diets, etc. to come up with this and I must say, it is awesome!

I do not care waht some think or say, this way of eating has changed my life. Through the day I feel very energetic without worrying about food. My workouts have not suffered at all! The minor fast really creates a super anabolic response for my pwo meal and believe me, after a 10+ hour fast, your body soaks up 70+ protine and the carbs, very well. THE P/F meal in the morning keeps me burning fat all day and once the big pwo meal goes in me, it creates an anabolic environment while I sleep.

Just thought I would post this to share my thoughts and hear what others thought.

When I go to bulking I will just add one 700-800 calorie meal in the afternoon around 3:30 PM

I meant that is was proven by Vince Gironda that 8+ hours of undereating/fasting creates a 200% more anabolic environment for cellular growth.

I am not saying everyone should eat 2 big meals a day, I just wanted to post becasue I feel so damn good, I had to tell someone.

Holding your breath for 8 minutes creates a 200% better environment for cellular respiration.

I personally couldn't survive that way, but if its working for you, why not devote a journal to your progress with this method, so you can quantify your results.

This is a derivative of Intermediate Fasting.

I would not do that. I get hungry all the time.

I had a good breakfast this morning, a mid-morning snack, a lunch that would feed 3 people and am about to eat again because I am HUNGRY!!

Sorry but fasting does not work for me but if it does for you go for it.

Nutrient timing is pretty important. I can't think of anything that you can eat that would keep your body readily supplied with nutrients over a +8 hour period. The enhanced anabolic environment that is present after a fast just means that your body has been deprived over the past several hours and is trying to make up for it. It's good that it works well for you, however I don't believe it's optimal. It would be a good way to maintain one's sanity though. I've been eating 4000-6000 cals/day. Today I've only taken in about 1500 & I expect I'll end up with around 3000 cals. Sometimes after a 6000 calorie day, I just don't want to eat for the entire next day. I might try this out & use it occasionally.

Thanks for posting...no one has posted too much on this site about it. It would be cool if you started a journal like hrgain suggested.
