Trouble getting cals

haha you guys are silly... fighting in my calorie thread lol... funny thing that you mention almonds because i just picked up olice oil and a bag of almonds today... with just adding both to my diet once a day 1 serving is like 350 cals. Im also gonna try to add some greens but i f/in hate broccoli so it will probably be like celery and some salad

Can you get too many calories in a period of time? According to my fitday calculations i consumed about 1000 calories this morning in about a 2 hour period.

430AM - Protein shake before gym (1.5 scoops whey, 2 cups milk, 1 tbsp olive oil)

610 - Post workout shake (1/2 cup oats, 1 cup milk, 1 scoop whey)
630 - 2 whole eggs

a lil above 1000 cals

it seems like a lot, but if you take into consideration the amount of work you did over that time, its not so bad.

I gotta ask why are you using oats in your pwo shake? you really need to use sugars malto/dextro/waxy maize. That will increase the uptake to the muscle, and take advantage of the window you open while hitting the iron.

Normally the oats go in my pre-workout... but i was in a mad hurry that morning... i been meaning to get some malto actually

no, sorry I meant milk is the same problem as oats in the post workout. Too slow.
