Albacore, like we said, has a bunch more in general. About three times as much on average, in fact. It may be due to it being a fattier fish...I'm not sure.

Some of that has to do with FDA guidelines and theirs disagree with the CDC's (the latter basically allowing higher levels). Who knows who to believe. The article does point out that even in chunk light the levels can vary dramatically among different brands. We have to keep in mind that we are talking about AVERAGE levels. The major brands like starkist and bumblebee were the worst.
It's children and pregnant women who are most in danger.
Health Canada also recently issued a warning against albacore.
