Turkey=super chicken??
I've heard that turkey is much better than chicken. Is this true? I know that you can get the crappy, fatty cuts of turkey, and that chicken breasts will be better, but let's say you compare turkey breasts to chicken breasts, or turkey legs to chicken legs. I need to go hunting. Does anyone else hunt?

Yep. I'm hoping to go poaching soon. Deer are overpopulated and my freezer is running low on venison. I haven't been turkey hunting before.

Ahh, the art of hunting out of season. I went bowhunting=very little noise (since we were very close to a residential area) a few weeks ago. There was this nice buck about 90 yards out, but as I was crawling through the brush, he got too nervous, and called the herd to flee.
During regular hunting, I use long guns. .17hmr, .22lr, and 12-gauge, oh my! What do you use to harvest game? For hunting, and firearms-related topics, check out thehighroad.org A great bunch of people there, just like here. I recommended BB.net to them.

Cool. I normally harvest my deer with a Model 70 .270. I have .45 cal TC Omega muzzle loader & I got a Browning Model A5 12ga for Christmas....I have taken deer with those also. I normally hunt in the woods where I use a shotgun or in the field where I shoot out to 325 yards. I have a Martin Jaguar also...I'm in love with it. I got a new single pin sight last year and I haven't missed since. The sight is fiber optic with a built in light...I'm sure you've probably seen them before. I haven't been squirrel hunting in a while, but rabbit hunting is my new thing. It's a great time.
I post on bowhuntingtalk.com during hunting season. I spent a decent amount of money and got a nice game camera & two 2gig memory cards last year...that made it my best season yet. Can't wait for another shot at the monster that has gotten away the past 3 seasons.

A lot of my friends turkey hunt. I need to go. We sighted the first ones in our area this year. First time there have been turkeys at our place in over 100 years, I think.

Ahh, the venerable 70. Nice guns, all three of em. .270 is a really nice, versatile caliber, my dad has a mossberg 100 ATR in .270 Win, and it is AWESOME for the money-$300. Personally, I like small-game hunting more-it's usually faster-paced. I've seen the lighted pin sights-cool stuff. My buddy had one, but broke the battery compartment off one day when shooting straight up :(
Anybody do any fishing, or bowfishing?
