Great list. These are all foods that I incorporate into my daily diet.
At the moment, I'm trying to bulk. Unfortunately, I'm gaining weight, and not just the good kind (fat!).
I eat 6 meals a day, everyday, and I stay away from anything unhealthy (candy, desserts, soda, alcohol) completely. I keep my meals pretty balanced as far as food categories go, so I'm eating lean protein, complex carbs, veggies, healthy fats, & fruit in each meal.
I don't know if it is the type of food I'm eating or the amount of calories I'm taking in daily. What sucks is that many caloric-need calculators or so different (sometimes by as much as 1000 calories/day!).
I'm 31 years old, 5'10, 174 lbs. I workout for about an hour a day 5 days a week, and I'm a salesperson so 5 days a week I'm standing/walking around roughly 6-7 hours per shift.
On days that I workout plus go to work, I have about 3,800 calories.
On days when I don't work but go to the gym, I have about 3450-3500 calories.
On off days, I have about 2900-3000 calories.
I'm gaining about 6 - 7 lbs a month. Am I taking in too many calories, because everything I've read actually says I'm taking in too few. I don't think I'm eating the wrong kinds of foods, as I eat pretty healthy. It's getting really frustrating and I'm not sure where to go from here.
