I know. I hate it when it hardens up too. And if you go through it quickly enough then it's not a big deal. But you can't always detect the rancidity of oil, especially if it's in its natural context.
Eating racid or even semi rancid oil is just as bad if not worse than trans fats. I don't think that it's something a lot of people are aware of. Certain oils are not to be stored at room temp. But do what you want. It's just info.
But yeah, I agree with everyone that there's no need to add anything to "natural" peanut butter, but for you guys out there who just refuse to deal with it, the a kind with palm oil is gonna be your next best alternative, IMO.
