need info
friend of mine was telling me the other day that 30 mins into workout, he gets tired. told him that fatigue was a reason why i set my routine no more than 45-60 mins. but i don't lift with him so i don't know how he works out either, so what is a common reason for this in general?

i thought nutrition may be a problem, he says he only eats twice a day. "that's the way we do it in haiti" he says. and i told him to do more cardio, after all, he's got bird legs and thinks it does no good.

OH for sure then if he's going into the workout in a possibly fasted state.
Hey I like that quote from Leigh,
TALO. Remember I've complained about that whole percentage thing myself many times. You put everything you can into everything you do.
By the same token it's not like you can really train with 20% effort and get results, lol.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

+1 on the nutrition, it's not just how many meals, but what's in them.
I'm also thinking lack of sleep, or him following Pro-mag-type BS routines, involving 40 sets for 1 exercise, 5 days a week!

How long does he rest between sets? If he doesnt like running have him get on the bike or rowing is also good cardio. Bottom line eating twice a day is not only bad for you but if your not eating elephant size portions you will never have the energy. When doing cardio the first 15 to 20 minutes is what I like to call down time. Not only do you not start to burn calories you also do not build lung volume in your first 15 to 20 minutes. The lungs are like muscles to and will begin to get stronger as you do. 15 to 20 minute warm up then hit it hard for 5 minutes break for 1.30 minutes then hit it hard for 7.30 minutes then break for 2.oo then hit hard for 10 minutes then break or be done. Just like reps u can build lung capacity witch will help you control your breathing witch will improve stamina. When I boxed I knew how much time I had to get ready b4 a fight. I did all my cardio in incriments to build my stamina. Your buddy has to eat and stay hydrated all the time. He must not be cycling if hes not eating at least 5 to 7 meals a day. I litterally get sick if I dont eat. Protein and carbs gold keys to energy and stamina...Good luck bro, MAC

I know what you mean Mac, I get sick if I don't eat every 2-3 hours. And the lungs are important and thats why I told him to do cardio, I don't think he does any at all. It's all upper body for him, he says he don't need to work his legs because thats not sexy.

^^^ Running doesn't really work the legs just so that's clear.
