Do as you like fellas, but i will never purchase a sony product ever again.
Just picked up a 52" samsung lcd, 1080p, 120hz, 5ms response time, regular DVD's rival any blue ray that i've seen thus far with this tv.

I've got a 42" Toshiba 1080p LCD and the blueray player does make a big difference (I didn't think it would), even on the bigger tv's. Plus they convert regular dvd's to a higher quality...
If so against sony I'm sure other companies will have blue ray players , if they don't already.
