Default bodybuilding in bare feet

has anyone ever noticed that all of the pictures of arnold in the encyclopedia of bodybuilding ive seen hes training with no shoes on? is there any advantage to that or something does anyone know why?

thats exactly what i was thinking maybe it was one of his secrets. or maybe he just sweats like a beast and counldnt stand shoes... in pumping iron when hes doing squats he doest have shoes on either maybe hes was up to something that noone has discovered.

It could just be that he trained at Venice Beach and they didn't wear shoes and that maybe your just over analyzing.

May be the photographer who took the pictures had a foot fetish.

A lot of big guys at my gym actually do their deadlifts and squats without shoes.. Also in powerlifting competitions I've seen it done a couple times as well.

May be they are using some kind of invisible shoes to protect their foot in case a fat lady fall on them.

I would've liked to try it but I go to LA Fitness. That's something for a private small gym I guess.
