Oh I'll be getting them someday. Decided on that a while ago. Been doing a lot of research on it for years. Still have yet to do some consults, but I'd rather have a good chunk of the money for them socked away before I start looking at which doc I'll use.

It's just interesting to me to see what other people's perspectives are on them.

When you go to find the place make sure you ask for a patients review of their experience. Good plastic surgeon places should have them so you can contact them and ask how their experience really was and if they recommend the doctor. My ex worked at a law firm and had a couple malpractice cases and the bad ones didn't have a client review list.
Note: I don't know if it is call a "client review list" but it's something like that.

Personally i dont think you need them, but if getting them will make you happy then I say go for it. The price of implants and plastic surgery in general have come down a lot, so you may not need to put away as much as you think. My best friends girl (formerly my girl) just went from A's to D's and I think it cost her around 6k. Her recovery time was quick too, they did the small cut in her armpit, and then filled them from there. Pretty crazy stuff.

I call those the boob books

I wouldn't even consider using a surgeon that doesn't have an extensive book of pre-op, immediate post-op, and settled pictures. AND a client contact reference sheet.

There's a few sites I've found too that has listings of surgeons nationwide with client pictures, specialties, contact sheets, all that good stuff.

Plus, knowing a ton of gals in the fitness industry with implants helps with the search

The hard part for me, is how much my boobs change depending on where I'm at in my season. I go from a small C in the off season to a middle A in season. It gets a little disheartening at times. It'd be nice to know that when I'm cut down, I'll still have some boobs left

I'm figuring it'll probably run me around 8k. There's docs out there that will do them for 3k, but I'm not about to scrimp on the bucks with something like this. Most of the cheaper jobs end up looking like softballs in a sock.

I wish I could do either an armpit or umbilical incision. But the problems with those is they aren't as precise in the placement since the docs are running solely off a camera. Plus, both of those tend to tear up a lot more muscle tissue. I might consider going one of those routes if I find the perfect doc for it. But more than likely I'd go for an incision through the nipple or under the breast. And a lot of the jobs I've seen over the past couple years that have gone under the breast have minimal scarring.. like 1/2". Quite a bit better than the old methods where they cut at least 5" under there.

There's no doubt that it would help your confidence level on stage. I think that if your going to continue competing then you should have them done.

Just don't jump into it. Do your research. Which we can all agree that your a smart one and have already.
