Well I still havent gotten a call from the doc's office yet, i'm kinda wondering whats taking so long. I will have to call them today.

he didnt think the bruse was anything to be concerned about, and its faded away already, so I'm not gonna worry about it. I am however concerned with the blood test results.

If the bruise is gone already, then it's most likely not a tear. If I remember correctly, my bruising took a full week to fully develop and expand, then another week to turn green, then finally disappear.

I got the results from the blood work back. The doc said my colesterol was a little off, but nothing too bad. he suggested some diet changes, and I'm starting to take sesamin again for that. Otherwise everything was cool. I am a little pissed off, I told him I wanted to test for celiac, and he didnt, he gave me some excuse about my insurance wouldnt cover it or whatever ... I am more then angry, I went in there because I wanted to know if I had celiac, and now i'm in the same position I was before.

As for the bruse, there is something still worrying me. I just noticed this the other day. The bruse on my back had these wierd red lines through it, they almost look like strech marks, or red ripples. I've never brused like that before. Now I had a big bruse on my arm from where the blood was taken, and about 4 days later the same red lines appeared. I just took a pic of it, but its shitty quality, and the whole bruse is fading, but you'll understand what I mean.

That's pretty typical for getting blood taken...depending on the person and the amount they take, skill of the person sticking you, etc. Don't know what to say about the red lines on the other bruise.

Given that the doctor doesn't supect celiac then it's probably true he can't justify testing for it. But despite that it doesn't sound like your digestive complaints have been taken seriously. This is par for the course. Not everything will show up on blood work but a lot of times after not finding anything on a simple panel your complaints will be dismissed.

From what you've described you definitely have some issues. It isn't exactly normal to have massive disgestive disturbance just cuz you eat a sub or something. Whether it's something seriously wrong or you just need to work on your digestive health may be unknown but the doc should take it more seriously. Maybe you need an endoscopic examintation or something...who knows?

The problem is it doesn't sound like they've bothered to rule out any obvious things. Meaning there are going to be certain simple first steps, based on your symptoms, that your insurance would cover. And if that doesn't show up anything further tests may then be covered. Unless you have really crappy insurance. You'll have to be more assertive and complain more if nothing improves.

On the bruising I wouldn't worry about it unless you get a lot more.

Your young so there are a lot of conditions that people automatically rule out or assume as very unlikely. That does not mean that they don't happen.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

Very true eric, I was just pissed off when I spoke to him yesterday. When I left his office I was under the inpression that they would be testing for it, then when I asked he told me they didnt. I had to hold my tounge to keep from flipping out, I said "you realize thats main reason I came to you and had blood work done right?" if he would have responded "I understand your concerns, but your not showing outward signs of it" I wouldnt have a problem, but to give me some bullshit about insurance? This is my health, I dont care if it cost an extra couple hundred bucks, not to mention he didnt bother to say shit about that when I was in the office.

anyway, rant done, i'm not really worried about any of this anymore. I have adjusted my diet, and I havent been having problems like before. My carbs are near nothing (except around workouts) but what thats the way its gotta be i guess.

I completely and utterly agree with you. I wasn't defending him! My main point is that who gives a shit whether he thinks it's celiac or not, he should take your COMPLAINTS seriously and try to get to the bottom of it. I kinda figured you'd get that sort of run around. As I said it's par for the course.

Hopefully you're right and everything will improve. And it's best not to worry about things (until you have to) you're right about that too. If you have to go back you'll be more prepared for the obstacles, so that's good.
