Default On this day before thanksgiving ... and invitation

I know that most of us here in the US share a very meaningful, and long standing tradition. Here in the states, it is customary to gather around friends and family, and take part in what I can only describe as complete and utter drunken debauchery the night before thanksgiving.

This is the true kick off to the holiday season, and it serves to gear us up for all the joys and let downs of the events to follow.

So I would like to cordially invite all of those here at bb.net both from this country, and those who are not (I'm lookin in your direction slayer, anuj, ect) To take part in this most joyous of events.

In addition here is a list of pointers that I've compiled over the years of taking part in the pre-thanksgiving celebrations:

1. Drink, Drink, Drink ... but take precautions. There is no reason you should be too hung over to enjoy thanksgiving dinner. A half gallon of water, and a few asprin will work wonders if taken the night before. (or for the brave chaser hang over be gone pills)

2. Dont make promises while drunk. "Of course I'll come to thanksgiving dinner, I'd love to meet your family" is not appropriate and hard to get out of when you wake up next to strange ass.

3. No fighting, this is a time for celebration. Brush your shoulders off, and be easy, after all you can’t enjoy all that turkey if your jaw is wired shut.

4. Give thanks, "beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy" - Ben Franklin (you can’t argue with one of our founding fathers)

5. Lie ... its always ‘enjoyable’ to bump into people you havent seen in years, and it always happens on this night. So when they ask the usual b.s. questions make something up to entertain yourself. here are a few examples:

Q:"oh dude, how have you been, were you working now"
A:"well, i just got a new job, i'm the new offical taste tester at
the smarties factory"

Q: (from a female) "so what are you driving these days"
A: "Actually I dont drive anymore my mom ... I mean my
chauffer takes me were ever I want to go"

Q: “so, you have a girlfriend yet, you’re here by yourself”
A: “yeah I do, but she couldn’t make it, don’t say anything though my wife would be pissed”

6. Dont stand in the way of fate. There is at least one girl from high school that has wanted to do you as long as you’ve known her. Any question you have as to whether you should let her or not, let liquor be your answer tonight.

7. Enjoy the company. It doesn’t matter if jimmy johnson smashed your girlfriend out in 10th grade. Shake his hand, buy him a beer and let it go. Be the bigger man and take his wife in the bathroom for a quicky.

Alright guys, so when tomorrow morning rolls around I exspect to have some good stories posted in this thread. I know you guys like to drink, so lets kick this holiday season off right.

SALUTE!

#5 & #6 are the best

The night before Thanksgiving has got to be one of the best bar nights...everyone is in town and they usually have nothing to do.

To celebrate tonight, I will be headed out to the bars in Chicago and then continue the celebration at Scores (titty bar). Nothing says thanks more than slapping some titties around.
