Default Depression and mood swings

I want to preface this post by saying that all crap I am going to talk about in here has subsided, but I thought that this may help someone else so I should share it.

As far back as 9th grade I can remember having very serious mood swings. Falling into deep depressions, and being completely anti-social for periods, then waking up one day and being completely content and happy. At that point i had no idea what was going on, and it would come and go, but the good always outlasted the bad. Things have gone that way since then, and I really didnt know what to make of it, except to say to myself, "everyone gets this way from time to time, and if you dont have some depression, how can you really know when your happy".

For a while, I turned to suppliments and started doing some research into mood enhancers, and stabilizers. those things worked to some degree, but they all seem to help me get out of depression, and not prevent it from happening. Same goes for steroids, stimulants, ect. (Note, when I say steroids, I mean otc stuff, like pre ban andro and other similar things, I am too much of a girl to inject myself, I passout when I have blood taken )

I will say it went a little beyond that after my shoulder injury in aug, and as much as I tried to hide it, even my roomate was ask what the fuck was wrong with me (besides my collar bone sticking out of my shoulder).

My usual remedy for this is to hit the gym hard, fix my diet, and get as serious as I can about getting healthy. It would normally take a week or 3 to get going, but I would slowly pull out of it. But at that point I couldnt workout, I couldnt run, and fixing my diet seemed pointless (thats depression talking right there). I kind of just wallowed for a while, put on fat from eating shitty, and got more depressed. Stress from work didnt help, and the break up with my ex did a number on me for a while too.

It wasnt until a few months later that I came across something that I had completely forgotten about, Vitamin B. I just happened to be walking through a CVS, and saw a "B Vitamin Stress Formula" I started taking it, and within a day or so I felt so much better. My mood stabilized, the depression passed, and my anxiety was fading. (not even xanax did this for me)

I wont lie, I felt so stupid ... something this simple, caused me that much of a head ache. But then I looked into Vitamin B Deficiency, did a little research, and it is some serious business. Vit B does so much in the body, a deficiency can cause a mirad of problems like:

mental problems
heart palpitations
heart arrythmias
fibrillation
indigestion
chronic fatigue
chronic exhaustion
paranoia, vague fears, fear that something dreadful is about to happen
nervousness
ADD (attention deficiency), inability to concentrate, irritability
feeling of uneasiness
thoughts of dying
easy agitation, frustration
inability to sleep (insomnia)
restlessness
tingling in hands
tingling fingers and toes
rashes
crying spells, inability to cope
soreness all over
and more

Now some of these are obviously only in extreme cases, but I thought it was proper to list these (and if anyone wants to add more please do). If your feeling any of this stuff at any time, or for a prolonged period of time, Vit B could be the answer, I would check with your doctor right away.

Having delt with this for so many years, I will say I wont ever go without Vit B supplimentation ever again. I know its not the answer for everyone, but it seems to be for me. I hope someone finds this helpful on some level.

Talo - I take B-complex, so its a mix of all the b vitamins, so yeah all.

Mosta - I am fairly intune with my body, and what I put in it. although you could be correct, but if I could manifest a placebo effect for a problem like this, I would think it would have occured prior to this. Meaning I would have felt good from all the other shit I tried before the B-complex. Its been a few months since I started with it, and I still feel like its working.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

^^ I dont think I'm in the bipolar (manic) category, but I guess I could be borderline. Its wierd, it only happens every once in a while, I guess when my b vit levels drop to low. I know how much this shit sucks, I hope you find a regiment that will help more dave, you shouldnt have to live with that every day.

If you can control it with vitamins do.
Medications suck, the drug companies push all kinds of drugs on us , and our kids. Then 5yrs later they come out and tell us that, this or that is off the market because it's killing people, so take this NEW one.....This shit should be baned. They say HGH is bad, why ? Because the drug pushers(and the government) will loose too much money!!!

sorry.

No need to say sorry Talo, I completely agree, Steroids and GH are bad so dont use them, but if you feel bad about being fat and depressed, here take on of these, it will make you happy and compliant.
