Default Designing a gym.

Ok guys, I need some help. I've been asked to redesign my gym at work. I need some good sites for exercise equipment. I have to present, to a group, some ideas to replace some other equipment. It is a nonprofit gym so they have some money to spend.

I'm looking for a good:
Squat rack (RACK not Cage),
Heavy standing calf machine,
Combo Hip abduction machine, (one that goes both ways if it exists).... hehehe... both ways
Decline bench with Olympic stand,
and the big one...

A Independent Leg Press Sled, (each leg can move independently or together).

If you guys know of any good retailers it would be greatly appreciated.

So far, the only companies I like are LifeFitness and Elite. Trying to find the special Leg Press Sled is the big one I'm looking for.

Went to look at Elite on more time and I couldn't beleive I didn't see this.

The only problem I might have is that the foot plate is 350lbs. The board might not like that because some of the ladies won't be able to lift it. But If you guys know any others that are like this one, let me know.

Thats awesome that you get to do this, unfortunately I will be of no help finding stuff, I can google for stuff, but that prob wont help you much.

all the stuff in my gym is FLEX or something like that, and its ok but not the greatest.

you've probrably already seen these but i'll post it anyway

yeah, I've seen the one leg press. I'd rather have one that uses a sled and not a hinge. It will be one I might have to show people. Google search didn't do a lot for me. Same crappy companies kept coming up.
Thanks for the input.

What kind of weight do you think is appropriate on the sled itself, Dave? I've seen a few iso-lateral leg press machines with sled but I'm not sure you're gonna find one in which the whole sled isn't at least 200 pounds or more. And it seems to me if it were lighter it might be a little flimsy. I don't know really...they all seem to be at least that much.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

I've seen them as light as 100lbs. It was a bare bone legpress, nothing fancy. 200 would be a lot better.

Yeah. Here's one youv'e probably seen. The individual sled weights are 130 lbs. So it's still a little heavy, but I guess 260 is better than 350. But it's supposedly commercial quality.

Another thing to think about is hooking up with an equipment rep...since this is for your work. That way you can describe exactly what you want and have them find it.
