I wonder if it has Yohimbine in it. There was a energy drink at my gym that had that in it and it made me pretty uneasy on a empty stomch... just like LIPO 6

As a matter of fact it does....it's 1057 mgs between caffeine, tyrosine and yohimbe with caffeine being 300mgs of it. They blamed the reactions on the caffeine alone but the yohimbe could have played a part in it, especially in combination.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

I would probably blame it on that as well... Ive never had a problem with caffeine until i mixed it with Yohimbe, if you've ready my ECA stack question in the fatloss section you'll note the time i took that on a empty stomach i threw up (all over myself while driving )

Yeah I'd generally say the same. Although if you were not a coffee drinker or are relatively inexperinced with caffeine 300mgs in one drink is quite a bit and the side effects with caffeine, yohimbe amplify each other. Personally I would never take any of that shit and any doctor in the know would tell you not to mix them. But to each his own funeral...

It's a little shortsighted that the article didn't take the yohimbe into account at all.

I doubt the tyrosine does a damn thing though

It really doesnt suprise me that they would want to blame the being sick soley on the caffiene. That way any parent who reads that is going to try to push their kids away from caffiene all together or any energy drinks. Or at least i wouldnt be suprised if that was their mindset.

Redline has caffeine and yohimbe in it and i've never felt sick from taking them.

Also, the HS banning the drink is ridiculous. They say the drink has 3x the caffeine, which they attribute the problem to, as 1 cup of coffee. Most people that drink coffee don't just drink 1 cup. So shouldn't that mean they should also ban coffee?

To continue the energy drink rank I recently picked one up called Speed Shot from ABB. Personally i love energy drinks and Im always known for having one around. But the warning on this is ridiculous:

WARNING: Not intended for use by persons under 18. Do not exceed recommended dose. this product contains caffeine and yohimbe extract which contains yohimbine. While using this product do not consume caffeine from other sources including, but not limited to, coffee, tea, soda, and other dietary supplements or medications containing phenylephrine or caffeine. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing. Consult your physicain prior to use if you are taking medication, including but not limited to MAO inhibitors, antidepressants, aspirin, NSAIDS, or products containing phenylephrine, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or other stimulants. consult your physician prior to use if your have, or are being treated for, any serious medical condition, including, but not limited to, heart, liver, kidney, or thyroid disease, psychiatric or epileptic disorders, difficulty urinating, diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, recurrent headaches, enlarged prostate, ulcers, or glaucoma. Discontine 2 weeks prior to surgery or immediately if you are experiencing rapid heart beat, dizziness, servere headache or shortness of breath. Do not mix with drugs or alcohol. Do not use if dehydrated or during intense physical activity in high temperature conditions. Do not drink after 5:00 pm if you have difficulty sleeping.

Thats sad you have to read something like that for a simple drink like this.

Well I don't really know about all the banning stuff. But coffee has about 100 grams of cafeine a cup. And there is a difference between getting 300 miligrams a shot and spacing it out. But I would guess these kids weren't coffee drinkers and so such a huge dose to someone unacustomed to it combined with the amplified affects on the nervous system with caffeine and yohimbe combined....

I'm very accustomed to caffeine so it wouldn't have made me sick either. And I don't think caffeine is the boogey-mans it's made out to be. However, I do agree that it is irresponsible for a company to be giving out a product containig huge dosages of stimulants in front accross from a school. But I'm a parent...

Those warnings on the cans are entirely appropriate also. Caffeine can be a very strong thing for the wrong person and yohimbe can be downright dangerous, especially combined with other nervous system stimulants. They are not "simple drinks". These are unnaturally occuring amounts of stimulants and it should be taken seriously.

True yes they should be taken seriously but the one i mentioned and along with others such as Redline. Those aren't advertised and sold more commonly to the public such as products as Monster, Sobe, Redbull, Rockstar, Bookoo, etc. Those energy drinks only have a warning label concerning people sensitive to caffeine and people that are pregnant.

Are you saying the long extensive label should be on ALL energy drinks? I know the ones that have large amounts of caffeine and containing Yohimbe are different but they are also more exclusive or hidden away.
