Default Football!!!!!!

what up everybody. just wanted to start a post on football in general. this thread in general may go on for a while but its all good. we can talk about, favorite teams, moves being made, etc.

i have a whole bunch of stuff i can talk about when it comes to football, but for now i will talk about the pats.

I am not one of those people who hate the pats. am i a fan............no. i just love the sport of football and i enjoy watching them. their success is not what turns me off, neither is the whole spygate thing. everybody will cheat if they could.

i just which i had a radio show or something so i can rip apart the people who makes deals with them. people play keep away with players like chris simms, but then you just go and give the pats randy moss for a 4th round pick????? dont tell me the raiders had to get rid of him, or he was falling off. yeah they had to let him go but they could have gave him to a few other teams with a quarterback not named tom brady. dont even say people thought he wasnt gonna be good anymore............he is randy moss. he had 2 bad seasons because he was on a trash team and he was injured. he didnt even start a total of 16 games. but the minute you seen him healthy he was catching 50 yard bombs. and the worst thing is that he was given to them after the pats already signed 3 other receivers.

all in all im not mad at the pats. they have a couple of players on their squad i wouldnt mind see get a ring such as junior seau. but i am mad that there are GMs in the league who dont understand that you dont give a bully brass knuckles.

what are some other things people want to talk about?

I read an interesting article yesterday. It was titled this- "The Falcons: Giving the Dolphins Hope". It was pretty funny, but it made some great points. After the Vick fiasco, the worst thing that has happened to the Falcons is that they have won 3 games which ensures that they won't receive the number one draft pick. The dolphins on the other hand are only playing with 5 guys offense and defense...the other 48 are injured on the sidelines. If not for injuries they would have won a handful of games. On top of that, they're going to pick up the #1 pick. Next year they're going to win 5 games or more IMO.

Hopefully my Panthers can do something. Stale play calling, no QB, and two second string running backs. They should be VERY different next year. .......if John Fox wants to keep his job......

the thing about the panthers is their defense is never really as good as people think they are. julius peppers is good of course, but chris jenkins is always hurt. mike rucker only had a few good seasons but otherwise produces sub-par ot average at best numbers. they have never really had any stable linebackers (well in recent years) they have always had talent there but always have had injurys. and their defenseive backfeild isnt all that great. i can point out a few more problems. but i kwno one thing. they better resign julius peppers

REPRINTED IN SUMMARY FROM AJC.com.
Hawaii has not been a team to shy away from bold statements. Some of that comes from the top. Coach June Jones doesn't appear to pull any punches when talking about system quarterbacks or how his three best players came out of the penal system.
But most importantly, they believe what they say, no matter how brash or bold. Like this, for instance:
"I don't think people can stop us," Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan said.
END.
Surely this guy isn’t serious. No body can stop them? Hawaii? A team that played nobody.

Apparently, the concern around here was that Georgia might not be totally up to play a team like Hawaii. Mark Richt went ahead and called for a Sugar Bowl black-out as incentive. Now this guy calls the Dawgs out. All the motivation they needed.

Piece of info for Colt Brennan and the Hawaii Warriors. This year Georgia beat Alabama, Florida, and Auburn. Who in the world of significance did Hawaii beat?

It’ll be the Dawgs in a route anyway. Welcome to SEC football Hawaii.

I dont have a problem with the pats, but I think after the eagles game, people are starting to see some holes that can be exploited in the defense, and we are seeing teams coming closer and closer to beating them.

I dont agree with all the talk about the pats running up the score either. What a crock of shit, if you dont want them to run up the score, then stop them ... thats what you pay defensive players for. Thats like telling Randy Johnson not to throw so hard, your making all the batters look bad.

I agree...if you can't compete, then you shouldn't be on the field. And if you walk out there anyway, well... Hopefully the scoreboard can count that high. Besides, it makes it really evident what your problems are. If a team gets blown out a few times, then there will be some serious changes.

i dont even think that it was the eagles game that opened it up. because the pats put up mad yards and points on the best overall defense in the league 2 games after that. they had a close game with the colts. and in all honesty could have lost that game. i think its just more about players doing what they are supposed to do and coaches putting together a good plan.

i dont think they are running the score up either. even if they were.........................so what. like you said hrdgain...........stop them. of course they were winnning handily but we have all seen some crazy melt downs.

besides. puting all those points up is a strategy anyway. you uput up that many points you make the next team wonder how they are gogin to stop you and now you are one up on the already. before you even go to practice

Your right Monsta, that colts game could have gone either way. I completely forgot about that. I just cant talk about football without the glaring suck of the eagles going through my mind. Its a sad year my friend.

yeah it is. after every lost i just turn th elights off in my room and try to fall asleep. i dont answer my phone. or nothing lol. and the bad thing is. we have whole but you cant really tell what we need to fix. you either stay with mcnabb and hope he does better next year, or you right with kold and that will be the start of a rebulding phase

we dont need a running back. there is no point of making a move on a wide receiver unless its chad johnson(which i doubt will happen). cause their will be no one in free agency better than who we have unless they get cut or the pats dont resign moss.

i think they will hold on to the lineman we have. i dont see any tight ends out there better than l.j smith so we are better off keeping him. no corner in free agency wiis better than the ones we have unless someone gets cut. brian dawkins will stil be good next year. we can use a strong safety, and they will ride out with their linebacking core,

i dont see anymoves that they will make next year so i dont know how they will be. but i know one thing, they better cut jevon kearse, or get make him take a paycut
