Default Torn muscle

Noticed a lump in my back on Sunday, just behind my shoulder. No pain, so I thught it was just swollen. Went to see doc on Tuesday because I could no longer pull or rotate arm. Doc says it might be the teres minor completely torn out of the shoulder. MRI on Monday morning to confirm.
Has anyone else torn this out? Or know anyone that has? And if so what kind of recovery might I be looking at?

If you tore it right off I would imagine it would require surgery?

Not experienced with this type of this but others might help.

Yeah IW. I'm figuring on surgery to reatatch. I'm wondering more about time off work and more importantly, time out of the gym.

But the high side is that it looks like I'll be able to consetrate on becoming a PT.

if you completely ripped it off it's attachment point, i believe the only alternative is surgery...and i think usually from 4-8 weeks for recovery.

only a small tear. No surgery at this point. Two weeks off and light therapy. Will have recheck in two. God I hope it heals on its own.

Not a tumor. Partial tear. Undergoing therapy and trying to avoid surgery

Torn muscles are terrible! Take super long to heal, and you almost certainly damage them a few times before they ACTUALLY do get to heal.
