Default Moderator versus Eric

I think that we need to get some things straight.

Apparently, somewhere along the line, many members have gotten confused about my role as a moderator here. Probably because I have a friendship with so many of you and I have worked closely with many as well.

I tend to show patience when I communicate with people about their behaviour HERE and not just summarily ban them. Not because I see anything wrong with just banning troublemakers but that is just my habit...and sometimes it a bad habit.

But apparently that has earned me, if not disrespect, at least the repuation as a pushover or something.

I want to make something clear...if I contact you as a Moderator..it is as a moderator and not as "Eric" or "E". I don't want to have to read a bunch of back talk and excuses.

From now on you behave like a dumbass you will recieve one short message from me if I'm the one that catches it...cut it out or be banned.

Similary:

If I step into a thread to diffuse a situation and then a bunch of regulars come on and CONTINUE the bullshit after I've stepped in..the thread will be shut down and those members who ignore my post will be subject to disiplinary action. This has happened WAY too many times..and I'm sick of it.

I don't have time to have to step in more than once.

Hopefully this all will be more clear in the future. I don't want to be crappy about it but I need to be blunt to get the message across.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
