i would urge everyone to try Daath's Hinderers album for a workout album for a week. damn this shit is good.

I've been meaning to check them out. Have you ever heard All Shall Perish? Some of the best Grindcore out there. they always get me amped

i haven't...but i usually can't dig anything with "core" in it. something inside me resists hardcore, metalcore, and grindcore....i got a buddy whose all into that shit...i'll see if he's got any...

So I take it you are an "anti-breakdowns" kind a guy? I do agree that breakdowns do get a boring, but in the right spots and used correctly, it makes for a great 1RM song.

yes...definitely anti breakdown
got a bar around here that has lots of live music...and every time i go when it's supposed to be a "metal" night...all they have is hardcore bands...breakdown after breakdown...harsh vocal...and then sing like a teenage girl. although last time i was there....there was a power metal band there...short fat dude from chile singing super high notes was pretty cool...don't see that very often...

Burn the priest is a great album. very raw. With the whole political thing, they have always been that way. I like most of it, some is a little preachy. Sacrament was ok. It almost seemed like they did some parody tongue and cheek lyrics but it is nothing compared to gospel and palaces burn.
As for vocalists I like most but as soon as it starts to sound whiney, it kills it for me.
