Default Music

I didn't really see a thread on here about music people use for motivation. So I am making one.

I am first and foremost a metal fan. I listen to some pretty extreme stuff but I have found that alot of the stuff like Cryptopsy for example is simply too heavy of a pace (some songs being in the range of 250 beats per minute) to workout to.

I prefer the midrange stuff, Silent Civilian, Nothingface, Pantera, something with a groove that is easier to go along with. The gym I attend plays the same top 40 stuff (hip hop/r&b/sappy love pop) and I find that hard to get motivated to. Listening to Shakira's 'Hips don't lie" for me is very painful. And I find myself rushing to get out of there. I spose it is because they are trying to build a membership base and want something innoffincive over there airwaves.

What about you guys? What types of music motivated you and keeps you going?
