Default New Job, New Problem

So I moved down to KC yesterday in order to start a new job. Well when I get all my stuff moved in I check my email and find out that my start date (next monday) has been pushed back two weeks. Turns out they were supposed to contact us a month ago so no one moved down here and had to take a financial hit. Well, that is exactly what is happening to me since they dropped the ball and forgot to contact me.

So now I get to do absolutely nothing for 3 weeks in town where I know absolutely no one. Kind of sucks since I was relying on meeting people at work. At least they are compensating me for a few weeks where I won't be working, but still not to the extent a regular paycheck would.

No real point to this post, just wanted to rant a little
