It'll be on FX tomorrow night. I heard that it's going to be very realistic. They supposedly got alot of their script ideas from the grunts who are the real thing. It's rumored to have stuff like soldiers' wives cheating on them while they're in Iraq just like real life and other stuff civilians don't know. Even though I think it's the Army they follow , they did the exact same thing as we (Marines) did. When I was over there, I think the only Army units fighting along side us were the 82nd Airborne and 3rd Infantry Division. 4th if I remember correctly came halfway through our push into Baghdad.

Hopefully no flashbacks from this grunt :(

I'll be watching...but tonight is the real night for FX TV, nothing beats Rescue Me in my opinion.

I don't know, so far I definately think the first season was waay better IMO. I actually can't wait for Nip/Tuck's return this fall. I'm wondering if that slasher will cut that guy Christian's face like it left off....No more cruising for poon if that's the case.

Ok so I watched it. It was pretty good though I have no real knowledge of how things go for people in the army/navy/marines/ and other stuff I think it was pretty good.

I didn't think the fighting was accurate, but the situations and the wife cheating is definately real. For instance, I don't think that when they got up over the berm that they were all standing up like ducks in a row with no dispersion looking like a bunch of disfunctional terminators. In real life:
1. They'd have 5-10 meters dispersion
2. They'd be doing fireteam rushes: one man rushes up and lays down in the prone, cover fires for the second man to "leap frog" past him.
Funny how noone got shot seeing as how they were almost on line holding hands. In any situation, it's second nature to do this, like breathing.
The other thing I didn't like was how in the end everyone was freaking out about the WIA victim without a leg. Maybe it really does happen, but I never saw it, not even when me and my platoon saw some of our friends being pulled out covered in blood.

Badger-I did see the USAF box in the beginning. I think it might've showed an air force guy getting everything loaded on the plane to take the soldiers "over there". Good plug huh?

Oh yeah. Real life fighting tactics really aren't exciting enough for tv.
