I can say that we pay national insurance, which is a small weekly fee, this pays for our healthcare. We would never wait 6 mounths for a cat scan, and we have some of the most advanced hospitles in the world. And if you watch the film you see Canadians, french and the Brits enjoy far better healthcare. The USA are just above Slovinia in the world list. No ones trying to put anyone down, just wanted the view from you guys in the States as i dont believe everything i watch.

Yeah, you didn't offend me J-Rock. We just want to make sure that the facts are right.

Was it enlightening?

I've never watched a Michael Moore film. I'm interested, but I steer away from political pieces or films with an adjenda.

Would you say this film, (or any by Moore) is one sided? Or would you say it's balanced and fact based. If it's the latter, I may consider watching it for myself.

I would like to say its the latter, however as i know very little about the workings of your healthcare system, then it would be better if an American who has watched it give us thier view.

michael moore is a fat douche.

What I'm getting from this thread is no matter what their situation, people will find something to complain about.

I'm thankful for what I have. I simply realize that there are many people who are not as fortunate as me. It's easy to judge until you walk in someone else's shoes.

It's amazing to me that as communications technologies have connected the world like never before, people have become more self-absorbed instead of less.

Speaking as someone who's been sick and close to dying I would never complain about HAVING healthcare over NOT having it.

You can put down someone like Michael Moore but at least he is out there doing what he thinks is right. He's not sitting on his fat-ass complaining at the evening news.

It's more of the same "not enough of the pie to go around" syndrome.

There is not just one thing that drives up the healthcare costs in America. It's basically a big old goat-rope.

It's time to bring back my old signature.

Having a whine is human nature, full stop. If the world we lived in was perfect then we'd whine that it was to perfect. However i 100% agree that if a person gets off his arse and tries to make a change for the good,( which is what M. Moore seems to be doing) then no matter what we may think of him, at least he's got the balls to try. If any of that makes sense.
